Plagued by Crappy Bookmarks

As an artist, I spend quite a bit of time working on fancy bookmarks...I use watercolour, specialty paper, and coloured pencils.
But for some reason, I always lose them!  I only get one freaking week of using my adorable bookmark and then it falls out, is lost, or disappears into thin air! -__-...
It is then that I grab a piece of toilet paper, a sticky note, or an old receipt...
These are the bookmarks that I NEVER lose!
That one square of toilet paper never falls out, is lost, or disappears into thin air!  NEVER!
Right now I'm using a beautiful piece of lace as my bookmark...
I sincerely hope that it breaks my curse of crappy bookmarks!

  1. Hi! I've been through many bookmarks but by now I've resorted to doggy earing the pages! Too much work! BTW I like your blog!

  2. Dog-earring makes me feel guilty...which is odd cause I feel no guilt when cracking spines...hmmmm...:P
And thank you so much! I like your blog too :)

  3. I always lose good bookmarks too. I just grab whatever is closest and use that. The last few books I've read have been on my Kindle, I love not needing a bookmark. It automatically holds my place for me :) and I can add a bookmark if I want.
I won't dog-ear a book. I used to. But, not anymore. Just feels wrong.

  6. Great post Sarah, I'm glad I'm not the only one, toilet paper has held a page for me many times.
